WW2 RAF Smiths Pocket Watch c.1942

A WW2 era 15 jewel Smiths pocket watch of the pattern issued to RAF personnel. Although this watch has no Air Ministry marks applied, non-luminous versions like this one, have been found with 6E inventory numbers. Made in England by Smiths at a time when military watches were in short supply, this example has been carried in an "RAF", leather and metal customised protective case, which is now showing its age. However, consequently, the watch has survived with only minor rubbing to its case edging - ding and dent free.

Sold in full working order, keeping time and running well.
