REME Belt Buckle By JR Gaunt

A good and early ERII belt clasp by J.R. Gaunt. This solid nickel clasp incorporates the postwar REME badge, which replaced the wartime design that was viewed as being somewhat uninspiring.
Presented in good original condition, with plenty of patina. Marked to the reverse as "Clasp by JR Gaunt" and also, "Belt by Hobson".
