WW2 Australian Army Issue Pocket Watch
A rare WW2 ANZAC pocket watch, with Australian Army Defence Department markings, made by Elgin c.1942.
Seldom found in such good condition with most original finish, this watch does have some light signs of service use but it remains in working order, having benefitted from a full-service. It is working well and keeping time.
Cosmetically the watch has a perfect dial, which can be seen clearly in one of the images where the glass has been removed. With the "unbreakable" wartime celluloid glass back in place, the dial takes on a slightly aged yellow hue but it was decided to retain the old to maintain its original integrity.
This military watch is suitable for regular use.
